Taping, Mudding, Sanding, Portals…
This is the part I hate doing the most when it comes to wall construction. It’s all the dust from drywall and sanding, yuck. And the whole process turns into an ordeal that takes days to complete, because you have to wait a day for the mud to dry before continuing, else it all turns into a mess.
Glad that’s over and done with, I managed to also frame the helix portals with some hardboard, too. Things are finally looking up and it feels I’m over the “hump” on this project at least.
Next is priming and painting, which will take a day or two, then putting the baseboards and trim as finishing touches. Oh, and the floor will need a good scrub, too.
